The maiden voyage of Princess Donia was in February 2018. On board, the spacious upper deck provides different areas to relax, whether it is to sunbathe on the sun beds or sit in the shade and watch the Nile scenes (which have not really changed in hundreds of years) pass by in perfect peace. Serene tranquillity is what you get here as you are transported to another world, where stress doesn’t exist and the natural beauty of the earth takes over.
Below deck, the white wooden shutters protect the five cabins from the heat of the Egyptian sun and refract the shimmering light from the rippling water on the walls and ceiling around the cool air-conditioned rooms. The cabins are well appointed, each with en-suite shower room. There is plenty of storage space and windows that give a unique low-level view of the river itself, almost close enough to touch. Waking up in the morning with only the sound of the rippling water, donkeys braying and Nile birds calling is a memorable pleasure and a very evocative way to start each day.
Princess Donia gives people from all over the world the opportunity to experience the history, culture and beauty of the Nile in an exceptional way.
